Palestine solidarity activists in Saudi Arabia and neighboring Gulf states are expressing outrage after a Saudi delegation visited Israel to meet with senior officials.

In August 2015, the 30,000-strong United Electrical, Radio and Machine Workers of America (UE) became the second national trade union in the US to endorse BDS. The US government agency that enforces trade union legislation has dismissed attempts by a pro-Israel lobby organisation to legally challenge the union's decision. 

Israel's war of repression on BDS is being met with determined organising that exposes anti-BDS bills as undemocratic.

The Palestinian Campaign for the Academic and Cultural Boycott of Israel has called for a boycott of this year’s conference of the International Network of Genocide Scholars (INoGS) in Jerusalem.

Jeremy corybn, the leader of the British Labour Party, says he would impose a two-way arms embargo on Israel if he were to become prime minister in 2020, endorsing key elements of the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement.

“The university is proud of all its students and thanks those who did reserve service,” writes Tel Aviv University dean Yoav Ariel in a 13 August email. “I wish us all a swift return to our blessed routine.”
 

The ongoing slaughter in Gaza has brought a great many artists, musicians and celebrities out in support of Palestine. This is nothing new. In fact, every major Israeli offensive seems to grow the number of artists willing to speak up and stand against the crimes of the apartheid state.
