A Vienna museum, Volkskundemuseum, has cancelled an Israeli Apartheid Week event where former minister in Nelson Mandela’s government Ronnie Kasrils was scheduled to speak

Update

Association of 140 global political parties, including 35 parties in government, adopts BDS and calls for a military embargo on Israel until it ends its violations of Palestinian rights. This is the most significant call for sanctions against Israel to date.

In the News

Archbishop Desmond Tutu & other leading members of the Episcopal Church tell the Church's General Convention that investment in companies supporting Israel's military occupation "make the Church complicit in the injustices suffered by Palestinians." They urge the Church to adopt human rights-based investment decisions that ensure it "does not profit from the suffering of others."

The student senate successfully passed “The Protection of Palestinian Human Rights Act". It demands the university divest from corporations that "provide goods and services to Israeli military forces" used "to bomb hospitals in Gaza, bulldoze Palestinians’ homes, construct illegal Apartheid walls, and further suppress and violate Palestinian human rights."

Short-list of the top 30 BDS moments of 2017, reflecting massive, collective work by supporters around the world. The BDS movement for Palestinian rights grew among trade unions, social movements and mainstream churches, in universities, among star athletes and prominent cultural figures, in parliaments and at the United Nations. It has compelled major multinationals to end their respective complicity in Israel’s egregious violations of Palestinian human rights, and grows stronger every day.

The Central Council of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), the sole legitimate representative of the Palestinian people, has officially announced its support for the BDS movement and called, for the first time, on the international community to “impose sanctions on Israel” to end its ongoing, grave violations of Palestinian rights as stipulated by international law.
