Global week of action 20 - 25 April Stop Elbit

Cut the genocidal supply: Join the BDS Global Week of Action against Elbit Systems

The Palestinian-led BDS movement calls for global days of action from April 20 - 25, targeting Elbit Systems and its complicit supply chain. Elbit Systems is Israel's largest weapons manufacturer and primary supplier to Israel’s genocidal army. It develops, manufactures, and sells weapons, surveillance technology, and military equipment. These are used in Israel's ongoing genocide against Palestinians in Gaza, in its apartheid system against the entire Indigenous people of Palestine, and its ongoing criminal aggression against the peoples of the region.

Elbit Systems has been a primary target of the BDS movement’s Military Embargo campaign since 2007, and remains a priority target for BDS pressure and divestment campaigns. BDS-affiliated activists have peacefully occupied or blocked Elbit Systems factories in the UK and Brazil, including in a precedent-setting case near Birmingham (UK) in 2014.

Elbit is not just a weapons company — it is a cornerstone of Israel's military-industrial complex, directly profiting from and enabling Israel's apartheid regime and ongoing genocide against Palestinians. The company's drones and surveillance systems enable Israel’s precision bombing of residential areas, and its military vehicles and weapons systems are used in attacks on Gaza. Elbit’s border control technology enables Israel’s siege of 2.3 million Palestinians, and its training systems prepare Israeli forces for carrying out ethnic cleansing operations.

Since the launch of the BDS campaign against Elbit Systems in 2007, activists worldwide have achieved significant impact: divestment campaigns targeting Elbit factories; disruptions of arms fairs; pressure on suppliers including FANUC, Leonardo and Rotax; successful campaigns against maritime transfers of raw materials to Elbit; the cancellation of Elbit’s contracts with suppliers and clients; and the launch of new campaigns in a growing number of countries including Romania and Mexico. These efforts have already forced Elbit to face both reputational damage and financial losses, proving that people’s pressure works.

Elbit’s official risk assessment for 2026 lists among the threats “organized boycotts and divestment efforts aimed at withdrawing investments, terminating various of our engagements and closing regional facilities, could continue or increase in the future.” Let’s escalate.

Now is the time to escalate these efforts and intensify the BDS campaign against Elbit. Now is the time to escalate these efforts and intensify the BDS campaign against Elbit. Take action now:

  • Organize strategic actions during the global days of action April 20 - 25;
  • Target Elbit and its suppliers with peaceful protests, direct action, and disruptions at factories, offices and other facilities;
  • Disrupt Elbit's participation in arms fairs and exhibitions;
  • Launch divestment campaigns demanding universities and institutions cut any contracts or ties with Elbit and its suppliers;
  • Pressure suppliers and clients to cut ties with Elbit;
  • Organize actions against maritime transfers of materials to Elbit;
  • Educate your community about Elbit's role in Israel’s genocide and its complicity in human rights violations worldwide, including at US and European borders;
  • Mobilize against the acquisition of Elbit's products and services.

Israel could not sustain its genocide, apartheid, and military occupation without the military technology supplied by corporations like Elbit. Every strategic action that cuts into Elbit's profits or peacefully disrupts its operations is a direct challenge to Israel's ability to carry out its genocidal crimes against Palestinians.
