The Irish Congress of Trade Unions welcomes Amnesty International's recent report which condemns Israeli apartheid and calls for international action to end the oppression.

In a statement, the Irish Congress of Trade Unions, known as Congress, joins with trade unions and other civil society organisations in strongly condemning the Israeli government’s outrageous decision to criminalise six Palestinian human rights and civil society groups by designating them as ‘terrorists’.

Statements in support of Palestinian rights, many advocating for BDS, have been endorsed by more than 350 academic departments, programs, centers, unions and societies and garnered nearly 24,000 signatures from scholars, researchers, students and university staff worldwide.
