Striking back against Elbit Systems

Major victories for #StopElbit campaigns

Israel’s largest weapons company, Elbit Systems, is a world leader in drone and military surveillance technologies, playing a major role in racist walls, border surveillance, forced displacement and other war crimes.

The global BDS movement for freedom, justice and equality is responding. In addition to major victories throughout the years, several new campaigns to stop Elbit are gaining ground:

EU
Elbit’s Hermes 900 drones are being used to implement deadly anti-migration policies via aerial surveillance of refugees in the Mediterranean. The EU is betraying its legal and ethical obligation to save asylum seekers' lives, and turning the Mediterranean into a cemetery.

Sign a petition telling the EU: Don’t finance Israel's military industry, respect refugee rights!

Canada
Canadians for Justice and Peace in the Middle East (CJPME) are calling for Canada’s Transportation Ministry to drop its recently approved $36.16 million contract for drone technology from Elbit.

You can help them reach their goal of sending 4,000 emails to Canadian leaders.

Australia
BDS Australia is opposing the Victorian government’s recent announcement of a partnership with Elbit to research and develop new weapons technologies. In partnering with Elbit, the Andrews government is showing its contempt for international law and human rights conventions.

US
A broad coalition of human rights groups is opposing a proposal to digitally expand the US/Mexico border, calling it a “continuation of the Trump administration’s racist border policies”. Elbit holds several contracts to supply the U.S. with border surveillance technology. A new report shows that Elbit also contributed $112,000 to both Democrats and Republicans during the 2020 election, continuing the bipartisan approach in favor of border militarization.
