Students Against Israeli Apartheid – Regina (SAIA) is pleased to announce that a motion was passed at the University of Regina Student Union AGM to support the Palestinian call for boycotts, divestments and sanctions (BDS) as a means of pressuring Israel to comply with international and human rights law. This resolution is a huge first step towards the full divestment of the University of Regina from companies complicit with the human rights violations currently taking place in Palestine.

Stanford Students for Palestinian Equal Rights (SPER) hosted a divestment campaign event Wednesday evening in the Oak Lounge at Tresidder, attended by approximately 30 Stanford students, affiliates and community members.

The divestment campaign calls for Stanford to stop investing its endowment in companies that contribute to what the group labels “the oppression of the Palestinian people.”

A collaboration between King’s College London (KCL) and an Israeli company located in an illegal West Bank settlement has been condemned by the UK’s National Union of Students (NUS), in a significant boost for campaigners.

At its first meeting of the year on 20th October, the King’s College London Student Council voted overwhelmingly to condemn the involvement of the university in an EU-funded research project that also includes Ahava.
