A ceasefire, however, is only the most important first step to end the genocide against the 2.3 million Palestinians in the illegally occupied and besieged Gaza Strip. Without massive pressure, it may constitute a continuation of a less visible form of genocide that Israel and the US hope will provoke less regional and global outrage, boycotts and sanctions.

The ICC arrest warrants against Israeli leaders are expected to usher in a wave of domestic and international prosecution initiatives that promise to hold complicit Israelis accountable for the ongoing genocide against 2.3 million Palestinians in Gaza, as well as for the decades-old illegal occupation and the crime against humanity of apartheid.

Occupied Palestine, 24 September 2024 – Israel is expanding its criminal aggression from the Gaza Strip to the West Bank and now to Lebanon, passing through Yemen, Iraq and Syria. In a matter of a few days, Israel has ferociously targeted hundreds of villages and towns in Lebanon, killing hundreds, wounding thousands, and inflicting massive damage to civilian homes and infrastructure.
