Karim Khan QC is a genocide enabler. He must be fired.

Following the International Criminal Court (ICC) years long failure to prosecute Israeli war criminals and the Prosecutor Karim Khan QC’s recent op-ed further exposing his utter hypocrisy in favour of apartheid Israel & its Western patrons, we call on ICC state parties to push for firing him.

From his Brimingham jail, Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. said, “Justice too long delayed is justice denied.” The ICC has since 2014 failed to act on the many war crimes complaints meticulously researched and presented to it by Palestinian human rights orgs and other parties.

By failing to issue arrest warrants for Israeli war criminals for #GazaGenocide and even to deter them with warnings, @KarimKhanQC has been complicit in enabling Israel’s unfolding genocide against 2.3 million Palestinians in the occupied and besieged Gaza Strip.

In his op-ed, Khan writes, “We are witnessing a pandemic of inhumanity.” Palestinians and most of humanity are witnessing a pandemic of complicity of hegemonic Western powers in supporting Israel #GazaGenocide. Khan is whitewashing & failing to stop genocide.

Since its creation, the ICC has mainly targeted African and other non-Western figures, completely failing to hold US and European war criminals to account.

South African foreign minister has called on the ICC to issue arrest warrants against Netanyahu and other Israeli leaders responsible for genocide. She said, “Failure to do so will exacerbate the growing cynicism that int’l law is applied selectively for political purposes.”

Palestinians call on the ICC member states, particularly in the Global South, to try to salvage what’s left of the ICC's credibility by pushing to replace Karim Khan QC with a prosecutor able to fairly, ethically and professionally pursue universal justice.
