In Queens, singing protesters urge Motorola boycott due to complicity in Israeli rights abuses

Astoria, NY, July 11 – Twenty New York human rights advocates captivated Astoria, Queens shoppers today with songs and street theater calling for a boycott of communications giant Motorola until it stops selling products that aid Israel’s army and settlement movement.

12 July 2009 - PACBI has been heartened by the untiring efforts of BDS activists in the US and UK in organizing demonstrations and pickets at Leonard Cohen’s performances in advance of his planned concert in Tel Aviv later this summer.    The call, “don’t Play Israel!” has been heard loud and clear.

[Globes] - Deliveries of the electro-optical equipment will be made in 2009-10 ITL Optronics Ltd. (TASE: ITL) US subsidiary Fraser Volpe LLC has won a NIS 38 million follow-on order from the US Army for advanced electro-optical equipment. Deliveries will be made in 2009-10. ITL's share rose 14.4% by midday to NIS 6.92, giving a market cap of NIS 86 million. The share has risen 100% since the beginning of the year.

As part of Tel Aviv‘s centenary celebration, the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) in London hosted a Tel Aviv University Special Lecture Series from January to March 2009. Taking place in the midst of Israel‘s war on Gaza -- which had already mobilized SOAS students to organize a number of activities in solidarity with Gaza, including the first student occupation in the UK -- students and a number of lecturers expressed their opposition to the lecture series.

(TASE:SDS) has received a NIS 6 million order from the Indian Air Force to supply night vision systems for helicopter pilots. SDS will fulfill the order through a subsidiary.
