[Globes] - Revenue rose 6.6% to $656.9 million in the first quarter. International defense company Elbit Systems Ltd. (Nasdaq: ESLT; TASE: ESLT) reported first quarter revenue of $656.9 million, 6.6% higher than the $616.1 million recorded in the first quarter of 2008. The company pointed to increased sales of communication equipment and unmanned air vehicle systems to a number of customers.
